Sheridan’s General Arts and Science – University Profile is designed to build students’ academic and critical thinking skills. The University Profile offers courses in a variety of disciplines and prepares you for a successful future in university and in the workplace. You'll take a range of courses in the humanities and social and behavioural sciences, and develop analytic skills that will help you succeed in your future studies in a university.

Transfer Options
When you complete the two-year University Profile college program, you can enter as a third year student at the following six universities*:
Athabasca University, Athabasca, AB
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
Bishop’s University, Lennoxville, QC
- Must have minimum 3.0 GPA to enter the four-year degree programs (120 credit hours) in Humanities and the Social Sciences
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
- If you complete one year of the Sheridan program with a 3.0 or higher GPA, you'll receive 30 transfer credit hours
Canisius College, Buffalo, NY
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
- If you complete one year of the program, you'll receive 30 transfer credit hours
Daeman College, Amhurst, NY
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
- If you complete one year of the program, you'll receive 30 transfer credit hours
- Admission and acceptance of transfer credits in certain programs where there are special requirements shall be determined by Daeman College based on the same criteria required for non-transfer students
D’Youville College, Buffalo, NY
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
- If you complete one year of the program, you'll receive 30 transfer credit hours
Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, BC
- You'll receive transfer credits equivalent to 60 credit hours
- If you complete one year of the program, you'll receive 30 transfer credit hours
Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, BC - Faculty of Arts & Science
- Students can be admitted into a 4-year program (120 units) with Advanced Standing of 60 units, after completing the 2-year Sheridan Diploma Profile with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Students will receive Advanced Standing for 30 units after completing one year of the Diploma Profile with a minimum GPA of 3.0
In addition, although Sheridan has no formal agreement with York University, Toronto, Ontario, you'll be eligible for admission as a second year student if you successfully completed the University Profile (four terms) with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
Note:
- If you meet these requirements, you'll receive credit for up to five courses
- Some programs require a higher GPA for admission or have supplementary application requirements
- York may change the 3.0 stipulation at their discretion
- If you apply after one year you'll receive up to 2.5 credits

The General Arts and Science – University Profile Program is located at the Davis Campus in Brampton, Ontario and at the Trafalgar Road Campus in Oakville, Ontario.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:
- English, Grade 12 (C) [ENG4C] with a minimum average of 70%
or
- English, Grade 12 (U) [ENG4U] with a minimum average of 65%
Students whose Grade 12 English mark does not meet this standard may choose to write an assessment test to see if they qualify for entry.

Mature student status. (See "Admissions" section for details.)
APPLICANT SELECTION
Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses).
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
*Course duration for September starts is two academic years. Course duration for January starts is 16 months continuous.
