Sheridan's Architectural Technician and Architectural Technology programs were accredited in 2007 by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB). We are one of the few CTAB-accredited architectural technology schools in Ontario. You are assured that our programs meet professional standards.
Design and Visualization Instruction
Developed in close cooperation with industry, our project-based curriculum mirrors the architectural technology workplace. You will acquire a unique blend of job-ready creative and applied skills, including:

- Preparation of contract documents and specs

Sheridan excels at teaching visualization and design. You'll also gain a thorough understanding of building materials, construction systems, municipal codes and regulations, as well as sustainable energy and building technologies.

Unique Learning Experiences
Sheridan's Architectural Technology and Architectural Technician programs both use mobile computing, so you'll have 24/7 online access to lecture notes and other class material plus the ability to collaborate on group projects.
In addition, the three-year Architectural Technology Co-op Program provides three paid work placements that provide students with valuable experience and professional contacts. Enrolment is limited through an additional co-op application process that takes place in the first semester. See Cooperative Education for details.
The Architectural Technician/Technology Program is nationally accredited by the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board. Graduates have completed all the academic requirements for professional certification with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT). Additional requirements for certification exist and are established by OACETT.
Sheridan Architectural Technician/Technology Program courses are held at the Davis Campus in Brampton, Ontario.

Program Eligibility
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:- One English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4U)
plus
- Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U) or Grade 11 Functions (MCF3M) or Grade 11 Functions and Relations (MCR3U)
or
Mature student status. (See “Admissions” section for details.)
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements will be invited to complete pre-admission tests in mathematics and English. Applicants asked to take the test are considered for admission to Term 1 contingent on receiving a minimum grade of 60% in both the pre-admission mathematics/English tests. Applicants who are lacking the mathematics admission
requirements for this program may be able to be admitted into this program with
additional courses completed in their first year at Sheridan. There may be
additional cost involved depending on the program.
Applicant Selection
Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their previous academic achievement (the average of their six highest senior-level credits, including required courses), and/or results of pre-admission testing.
Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program will be assessed and advised individually and may be considered for other, related programs.
