No apprentice program in Canada offers a better pathway to a career as a skilled, well-paid tradesperson or journeyperson.
We offer full- and part-time apprenticeship training across a range of skilled trades including:
- Construction and Maintenance Electrician – Levels 1, 2, 3
- Industrial Electrician – Levels 1, 2
- Industrial Mechanic Millwright – Levels 1, 2, 3
- Construction Millwright – Levels 1, 2
- Tool and Die Maker – Levels 1, 2, 3
- Tool/Tooling Maker – Levels 1, 2, 3
- General Machinist – Levels 1, 2, 3
- Pattern Maker – Level 1
- Mould Maker – Level 1
- Machine Tool Builder and Integrator – Level 1

All of Sheridan's apprenticeship programs take place in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the most current industry-standard equipment. You'll train on the same machinery and use the same techniques as your employers.
You’ll also enjoy lots of direct interaction with your instructors, all of them seasoned professionals with many years of classroom experience. Our faculty know what it takes to succeed in the workplace, and how to pass on that knowledge to the next generation of tradespeople.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship program at Sheridan, students must be employed and sponsored by their employer.
Apprenticeship skilled trade training courses are held at the Skills Training Centre in Oakville, Ontario.
Sheridan Skilled Trade Apprenticeship Training programs involve approximately four years of off-the-job (in-school) and on-the-job (at the workplace) learning. During this time, students build their knowledge and hone skills in a specific trade. Upon graduation, they are prepared to tackle all the challenges that a career as a skilled tradesperson has to offer.
Program Eligibility
The requirements for apprenticeship training courses offered at Sheridan are as follows:
- Must be employed in the appropriate skills sector and registered as an apprentice with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities
