Financial assistance is an important factor for many students as they decide where and what to study. Sheridan has a variety of assistance programs, which are awarded based on demonstrated financial need.

OSAP
The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) provides eligible students with various types of assistance based on financial need. Click here for more information.

Students and their families are expected to financially contribute toward a postsecondary education. For all but about 15 per cent of college and university students, OSAP will cover the cost of tuition, books and school fees. For students with greater financial need than can be covered by OSAP, Ontario introduced the Student Access Guarantee.

Through this guarantee, colleges and universities receive public funding to provide enough financial aid to cover a student’s direct education expenses, including books, tuition and mandatory fees, if these costs have not been fully met by OSAP.

Sheridan Work Study Assistance Program
Sheridan Work Study Assistance Program provides students with meaningful on-campus paid employment opportunities while they are registered in at least a 60% course load at Sheridan (40% for students with a documented permanent disability). Click here for more information.

Academic Scholarships and Bursaries
The Academic Scholarships and Bursaries administered by Sheridan are designed to support current full-time students in various fields of study. Application forms are available from the Financial Aid and Awards Office at the beginning of the Fall term. Students are encouraged to review this list throughout the academic year.
